Storytelling and place-making activities were the catalyst for new creative developments across different art-forms in the Story Seeds project. 

Devised performances, dance choreographies, songs, visual and fibre-artworks and mobile set-designs were developed and presented for three lively inter-cultural, inter-generational storytelling exchanges.  These exchanges were hosted in different neighbourhoods; Scent of Home, at Cringila Community Hall in October 2023; Amaroo Burragh Story Book and Aunty Bev’s Bush Theatre at Mount Warrigal Public School in November 2023 and Cringila Story Book at Cringila Community Hall in May 2024.

At the same time, creative storytelling engagements with older members of culturally and linguistically diverse communities living in different neighbourhoods of greater Wollongong and Shellharbour led to the development of the first in a planned series of anthologies of recorded songs and stories, Songs in Place, Part 1.
